Return to Chapel

At the September deacons’ meeting, the deacons considered the various points of view expressed in a survey of the congregation with regard to the proposed return to church services in the building. Recognising that there was a substantial viewpoint both for returning now, and for delaying a return, we decided to compromise with a period of transition, to be reviewed at the church meeting at the end of September. We decided that this was not the right time to start our proposed monthly pattern of worship – except in terms of the new start time! This decision was announced on Sunday 5th

So the services for September are running as follows.

  • Sunday 5th Zoom
  • Sunday 12th in the church building (10.30)
  • Sunday 19th Zoom (10.30 start)
  • Sunday 26th in the church building (10.30 start) – short communion service followed by church meeting.

Services in the church will be viewable on Zoom by those unable to attend physically. The intention is that the church meeting can also be attended by Zoom, with participation by Zoom.

Our hope has to be that we continue to listen to each other, and communicate as well as we can with each other, as we work through this period of uncertainty as a church.

Very best wishes to everyone,

Andy
