Revisiting the Linton House Story

A couple or enquiries prompted me to dig out the material we put together several years ago about the story of Linton House. It seems that although we shared the story via email and such like, we never put it out in the public realm. This is now rectified!

Linton House was a response to the racism of the late ‘60s when overseas students had severe difficulties in obtaining decent, affordable, accommodation. The rise of racism and hatred of migrants we have seen over the past year or so – encouraged by politicians and press – seems to make the story of Linton House newly relevant. For those who would like to revisit it, or any who don’t know the story, you can go to https://www.unionchapelbaptist.org.uk/linton-house/  and find out more, including a write-up with reflections from those who lived there: LintonHouseStory-Final
